DIY knotted racerback from tshirt

Nothing like a simple refashion to get ready for summer. Use an oversized tee to create a dress cover up for the beach. Tie dye a shirt to add some color. Either way, this fun back will look great all around and takes about 5 minutes.

Begin by removing the sleeves and neckline. Then proceed to cut a racer-back pattern as such…

Pull the back length to create elasticity and knot it.

Cut down the middle to the knot.

For the front create a tank to match with the back. I like to use a pattern of my favorite racerback to keep it even.

Lastly, pin the back to the front straps right sides together and sew.
