For the little seamstress...
Supplies: Binder, adhesive, scrapbook paper/items, scrap fabric, accessories.
Christmas is my favorite time to make gifts for my loved ones. Being a mother of boys, I always go all-out-girly for the little gal in my life, my niece. I have made her plenty of special things to wear and decided I wanted to completely surprise her. She LOVES Barbie, so what better gift from her designer auntie then a sewing studio?
Complete with a sewing machine that was mine when I was little, mini dress form, a couple handmade outfits...
Little inspiration boards...and furniture.
The outside...
This project was way too much fun...I sewed the fabric right on the paper.
I used images from magazines as the photos and the frames were a scrap paper set. I applied everything with a hot glue gun and permanent spray adhesive.

This reminds me of a beauty salon my friend's older sister made me for my Barbie when I was really young. It wasn't as detailed and structured as this but it was still impressive, especially for her as she was a teenager at the time. Wish I kept it!
ReplyDeleteImpressive, I can imagine how hard that would be! This was quite simple with all the paper and craft supplies they have these days! :)
