Reshape that...

Supplies: shapeless dress

Reshaping a shapeless dress can transform anything from "trash" to "couture." I really loved the gingham fabric on this night dress and with a few tucks and gathers I was able to create a lovely dress. I can just see a pair of cat eye sunglasses and a high bun with this one...

I really loved how this turned out...Now if this mom of 2 boys could find a fancy whatever to wear this to, I'd be happy...

Do you have a tutorial or something to show? I would love to reshape an old "djellabah" into a shirt like this.

    1. I got mine from ebay years ago...check there. It was not expensive at all. I've seen them at sewing and craft stores. If you shop sales, it may be a good deal.

  8. I just got this in my inbox today but I guess it's a vintage post. I am glad I got it though because this is amazing! You really worked your magic here. I also am a mom of two boys and sometimes make stuff I have no place to where them to, lol. Such is life as a mom. i continue to enjoy your blog!
