Sewing Goals and Vintage Inspiration
This year, I set a goal to sew more of my own clothing and limit my purchases to only my boys' clothes. I also aimed to use sewing patterns and fabric I already have. Over the years, I've collected a lot of fabric, and I inherited bins of patterns from my Grandma when she passed away. My objective was to utilize these resources, and so far, I've been on track. I felt a colorful summer dress was needed, so I created one using a mix of two vintage patterns. The fabric was a remnant roll from Walmart that cost just $4. I also added a liner using some white muslin I had on hand. I have some more projects ready to be photographed so I hope to get them up on the blog soon.
